Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2-3 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce shredded
  • Cheese dairy-free or regular
  • Pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard dijon or yellow
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice from the jar of pickles
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the spice mix. Set aside.
  • Wash and cut the potatoes into chips, then pat them dry with paper towels. Toss the chips in a large bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the spice mix until well coated.
  • Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or air fry for about 20 minutes until crispy and golden.
  • While the potatoes cook, heat the remaining olive oil in a pan over high heat. Add the beef mince, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Once browned, sprinkle the remaining spice mix and cook until darkened and excess moisture evaporates.
  • Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a small bowl to make the burger sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Once the potatoes are done, divide them among bowls. Add shredded lettuce, cooked beef mince, cheese, and pickles. Drizzle the burger sauce over the top and serve.

Notes:
For a vegetarian option, substitute beef mince with plant-based crumbles.
