Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons potato starch
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil spray
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice or more
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons ground pepper
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. Pat dry the chicken wings with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a bowl, combine potato starch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Toss the chicken wings in this mixture until evenly coated.
  • Lightly spray a parchment-lined sheet pan with oil. Place the coated chicken wings on the sheet pan in a single layer. Spray the tops of the wings with a bit more oil.
  • Reduce the oven temperature to 425°F and bake the wings for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Spray a little more oil on top when flipping.
  • While the wings bake, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper. Simmer and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until well combined. Set aside a portion for dipping.
  • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a bowl and toss them in the honey lemon pepper sauce until coated.

Notes

Notes:
For extra crispiness, broil the wings for a few minutes after tossing them in the sauce.
